Update on Me :)

Well - what have I been up to over the past few days...well - I've been feeling a little under the weather. I came home from school on Thursday with a fever of 102.4 - so I couldn't go to school on Friday. My fever was down, but my nose was runny and by the end of the day my eyes were pretty mattery. We went up north for the weekend - hoping my cold would go away, but it didn't. My eyes kept getting more wattery & my nose kept running...I woke up Sat night many, many times - finally mommy & daddy realized what my problem was. I wasn't hungry - my eyes were stuck shut! How would you like it if you woke up and couldn't see??? So mommy called the dr and she said they wouldn't let me go to school on Monday either. I went to the dr on Monday and found out I have a double ear infection :( Sad! So the past few days have not been so fun. I just want to feel better!

Big THANKS to Aunt Sheila for coming to play with me on Friday and Monday so mommy & daddy could still get some of their work done!

I've been busy lately too...I'm rolling more now. To get around - that's what I have to do :) I can sit up really well too! I tried puffs for the first time last weekend - but I gagged. So I tried them again in smaller pieces throughout the week but I still can't eat them without gagging :( I guess I should just wait a couple more weeks. Then just this past weekend, I tried watermelon for the first time. I liked to suck on it and have the juice, but I don't like those piec es of food in my mouth either. I also went on my first pontoon boat ride. I have to wear my life jacket - so I wasn't very comfortable - but eventually I fell asleep.

See - I was trying to play hide & seek!
Me sitting in front of Briana's treeWatermelon time!

See - I did eventually fall asleep:)

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there - especially the great Daddy at our house - Brian :) Grant sure loves his daddy - playing "Super Grant", bouncing (on the couch!), 'wrestling' - these are a few of the things they like to do together :)

Grant is doing more & more these days...

He is sitting very well - no longer needing support. He will occasionally lose his balance and he is not able to move from the sitting position - but I would say he has come close to mastering this milestone.

He also really started rolling more last week - toward the end of the week. He used to foll from is back to his tummy & then get mad b/c he didn't like rolling from his tummy to his back (he could do it - but didn't like to). Now he rolls both ways when he wants to get somewhere or reach a toy. He's not crawling yet - but starting to move his legs to show he is at least thinking about wanting to move that way. I think it will be a while though before he is able to get his legs and arms to work and at the same time pick his head up off the ground :)

He seems to be eating more over the last few days - lots of great things. He even had mac & cheese last week (from a jar of course).

He's learning so much & is so much fun! We love him and are so thankful he's ours :)

Seven Months Old

Grant is 7 months old today! That seems so crazy to me. The time has just gone so fast! I know - everyone says that - and the other famous line "he's getting so big!" But it's true. Our little peanut is getting so big. He is 7 months old & still wearing 3-6 month clothes, but from the 5lbs 14 oz he started at this is a big difference. I am very happy that he is a health, happy 7 month old little boy. He is learning so many things and makes us smile everyday (but I still get a little sad the time is going fast). See our little sitting pro! :)

Sitting up!

Grant and I were playing tonight and I thought we should work on his sitting skills and continue building up his little muscles. To my surprise he is now sitting wonderfully all by himself. No more boppy to hold him up or falling over after 10 seconds. He does pretty well at catching himself if he starts tipping, but just in case I still surround him with pillows :)

OK - he's not exactly the happiest (tired & hungry) in this picture - but it does show his sitting skills :)
