Landon is 2!

How in the world did this happen?  A few short moments ago I gave birth to an amazing little boy, then I blinked and now he is 2!  We had a great day celebrating Landon today.  We started with our traditional birthday breakfast at Ted's Diner in Tosa.  I didn't think he'd go much for the strawberry & cream covered pancake like the other two kids, but it is the most fun to have decorated and sing with - so we ordered it!  I was right...he passed on the pancake and ate most of my eggs and a little sausage instead.  Then we headed on to swim at Gramma Mary's pool.  We haven't been there in SOOOO long b/c mommy thinks it would be a little tough to take all 3 kids by myself and when we had a chance in our busy summer schedule to go...it was freezing!  BUT - we went today and had a BLAST!  THANK YOU!!!!  Home for naps and then on to our busy Tuesday night activities with Alayna's skating lessons, dinner at Burger King and hockey for Grant.  Now he is off - to the land of nod.  I sure hope life slows down a little bit.  My youngest baby just turned two, my little girl starts 4K on Thursday and well Mr Grant...he's off to Kindergarten on Tuesday.  This is a lot for one momma to handle in a week!

Landon at age 2:
- Size 4 diapers
- Size 18-24 mo clothes for the most part
- Loves to wear his crocs
- More LOVES: bath time, milk, playing outside, Papa/Grandpa, Elmo, "lala" (music), trucks/tractors
- Is a snuggler after waking up.  Give him a cup of milk and your lap to sit on.
- Still refuses to use sippy cups with hard tops...nuby cups are all he will use (stinker!)
- Foods: peaches, apples, corn on the cob, melon (cantaloupe and watermelon), noodles
- Pinches or scratches when he's not happy with what you are doing.  It hurts...he's had many many timeouts
- He tries to be Mr. Funny Guy
- Waves "silly" to Daddy in the morning when he leaves.  Thumbs by ears, tongue out, blahblahblah
- Still points to any man over the age of 45ish and says "Papa?"  If this is said to you - please don't be offended.
- Starting to get into trucks.  Had a Trucks & Digger 2nd birthday party.
Went to Ted's for breakfast...a family tradition.  Ordered strawberry whip cream pancakes with a loader on top.  He actually at my eggs and sausage...wanting nothing to do with pancakes!
 My little buddy
Then off to swimming at Grandma Mary's house!  Thank you so much for letting us come!
So much fun getting thrown up by Daddy
"MORE"

Happy Birthday Landon!  We love you SOOOOOO Much!

Sleeping Beauties

LOVE watching my babies sleep.  When checking on them at night before going to bed myself - I find quite interesting things sometimes.

(This picture doesn't really show this, but...) Grant moves a TON in his sleep and will often have his head at the side or foot of the bed.
Alayna tends to talk - so if I give her a kiss and she wakes up a little - she will say something (usually nonsense) and then turn over and back to the land of nod she goes.
Landon - well - he likes this one particular corner of is bed (front right corner - head right up against the bars).  Ooops - but doesn't really like his picture taken at night :)

Just A Little Walk in the Woods

As we headed up to the lake one last time before the end of summer, we took a detour through Clintonville.  We met up with Grandpa and Grandma Meidam for lunch and then took the kids to "the woods".  Brian has hunted in these woods with his dad, grandpa, uncles and cousins for years (forever!).  We took the kids to see where they hunt and walk through the woods.  It was super hot and I thought Brian was nuts for making us all wear pants, boots and a hat - but I will admit I'm glad he did after all the scratches from sticks, etc throughout our hike.
Here it is - Meidam Road
Meidam Road - a dead end road with a farm at the end.  Brian's dad grew up here, but his grandparents have since moved to "town".
View of the "hunting shack" from the driveway/road
 Our hike into the woods
Arms up and single file through the field of oats(?)
 Pretty girl
 Double-trouble :)
The hunting shack.  Great grandpa hunts off the front porch and everyone comes back to warm up and eat lunch here during season.
Grant was hunting for mice.  He was really looking forward to seeing one - but (thankfully for me) he was disappointed.
 We found Papa's hunting blind.
"Hey Mom - guess what this is....deer POOP!"
Right before taking this picture we had scared up a deer that was laying down in the woods.  That happened to us twice that afternoon.
Daddy's hunting stand (kicked up the second deer right before we got here)
3 little goof balls who had a ton of fun in the woods!

 SILLY FACES!!!!!!

We had a great time in the woods!  The kids LOVED it!  I'm sure this will be a treasured spot to visit as they all grow up.
