34 Weeks

Yesterday I hit 34 weeks along with Baby Meidam #3. It's hard to believe really how fast this pregnancy is going! We had an ultra sound today - the last one before we meet this little one! Our dr was very pleased with how everything is progressing. He said the blood flow was good, breathing looked really good, fluid levels are where they should be, etc. The baby is approx 5lbs 1oz which puts him/her in the 43rd percentile. This is bigger than Grant was at 34 weeks. I followed my ultra sound with an appointment with my OB. The heartbeat was again about 140, I measure about 32 weeks (which is two weeks behind, but I guess is fine as long as I am within 3 weeks of how far along I am) and head is down. I will continue my non-stress tests twice a week and see my OB again at 36 weeks. Wow - time is just flying!I have one more week of travel for work. Next week will be the last week I can really head to my customers in IL as well as those in WI that are over an hour away - so it will be busy. I do plan to work right up until I deliver again. Once I am not able to travel as far - I have plenty of office work to do. Most of you know - this involves me working out of my home office - so it works out well as I near the end of my pregnancies. I will have a lot to do - maternity plan, finishing year end odds & ends from 2008 and getting 2009 off to a good and organized start before I head off to maternity leave.

As far as the rest of "being ready" goes - we're not really there yet. We would be able to take a baby home tomorrow if need be - but right now we still have a lot of shifting around to do in our house before we have a good place to put this baby :) Brian's office has to move to the basement and we have to turn Brian's current office into Grant's new bedroom. Hopefully that will happen over the next couple weeks.

We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers throughout this pregnancy and ask you continue for these last 4-6 weeks. We anxiously await this little one's arrival and can't wait to find out if we will have another little boy or another little girl - such a mystery! What do you think?

Right when the doctor was about to print the picture - the baby stuck out it's tongue - it was so funny! Like it was saying "ha ha - you don't know what I am"
