Hockey

Grant has been in a "Learn to Play Hockey" and Hockey lesson program since January.  He loves it, but is ready for a little summer break to play some soccer and baseball!  He was probably the smallest one out there.  The kids ranged in ages from 4 to I'm guessing 7-10.  This is a class that has to be taken before you can join a "team" - so some of the kids were older.
Grant has made a lot of improvements.  In January he was still sort of walking on his skates.  Now he glides, hops over blue and red lines, turns, etc.  I think we are still working a lot on stops.  After almost ever week he reported to me that he "ALMOST" scored a goal!  :)  It was a lot of fun!  Hopefully this summer we will get in a few open ice times to keep practicing skating and about mid July we will start a little refresher class to end out the summer.  Hockey seems like an "all in" sport to me.  Not that others aren't - but when I hear so many people refer to families as "hockey families" - it's seems crazy to think like that!  Anyway - we will see.  Time will tell if we are one of those families or not!  We just want him to have fun!

Landon - wondering when he will get to put skates on and go out there!
