Alayna update

Just a few updates on Alayna lately to remember how she's changing and growing up on us. I don't have a great picture to go along with this entry, but they are things I just want to remember she's been doing. (Early May - noting b/c my entries lately are so few and far between)

- "well..." seems to be a word used a lot in her vocabulary.
- goes potty on her own - calling for me when done
- can stay dry all day, but then the next day might have 3 accidents. Doing alright in the whole relm of things though
- showing her independence "I do it myself" are words I hear a lot when getting dressed, going potty, etc
- sleeps in toddler bed now, prefers lights on when going to sleep (we've been able to graduate from big overhead light to lamp), likes to be tickled before bed, recently (a week or so ago - end of April) decided she does NOT want music on when she goes to sleep anymore
- favorite jammies - bear jammies (hand-me-downs from cousin Macey who gave them to Nolan who gave them to Grant who passed them to Alayna. Must be some well made jammies b/c they've realy gotten their wear here)
- favorite foods - noodles with butter and dipping in parmesan cheese. will eat spoonful after spoonful and ask for seconds and thirds!
- loves to play outside - really likes going to the park, loves the sandbox, swings on her belly on the big swings out back
- really DISLIKES dresses/skirts - anything of the sort; every Sunday morning is like a bribe and she can't wait to get home to put "comfy" pants on
- prefers hair down and in her face...which typically Mommy doesn't allow b/c it drives me crazy - so our compromise is she can have whatever is in for the morning can come out at naptime and bedtime
- when playing likes to pretend she's going to "get groceries"; likes to have my expired "recipes" (which are coupons - she gets the two confused)
- favorites for tv watching - Barney and Shrek
- when playing with friends she seems to be drawn toward the 4-7 yr old boys. She has a couple cousins this age and I think that's where it started. She's always asking where they are and wanting to play with them and be where they are.
