Thanksgiving

What a crazy weekend! It was jam-packed with visits to Grandpa's and Grandma's houses, shopping, hunting, more shopping and lots of playing with my Grandpa's and Grandma's. It was a lot of fun - but made mommy exhausted. We ate LOTS of good food and had tons of fun with all of our family - I played and played.
On Sunday after church we went to the mall again. I visited this big guy in a red suit - SANTA??? Mommy and Daddy said sometimes his line to visit him is really long, but on Sunday no one was waiting - so I thought I would keep him company. I didn't smile at all for any of the pictures - but did find him quite interesting. When we went home from the mall - it was snowing out - now there is all this white stuff on the ground! Daddy wasn't too excited - luckily the snowblower worked :)

My baby brother/sister was starting to worry Mommy this weekend. That little stinker just decided it was tired after all the Thanksgiving food I guess. He/She didn't move very much all day Saturday. This really made mommy nervous - especially with it being Briana's birthday weekend. After some OJ, Diet Coke and a candy bar - he/she finally woke up a little bit. That made mommy feel a little better, but on Monday they had a 27 week ultra sound appointment.
Thankfully everything is looking wonderful. The doctor said he is very happy with how the baby is looking. So far he/she is in about the 50th percentile, weighs about 2lbs 5oz, and bones are a little bit long for how many weeks they are. It's heart beat 142 - 149 beats per min and mommy and daddy got to listen to it too. The baby was breathing really well - which the doctor said has nothing to do with lung development, but a lot to do with how happy and comfortable the baby is in there. Soooo - they are doing good. When the doctor took a picture of the baby - mommy said right away that this baby looks like me! Can you believe it? I guess we'll just have to wait 12.5 more weeks to see what he/she really looks like :)

Grant at 25.5 weeks

Baby #3 at 27.5 weeks. Do they look alike?

Wow - Thanksgiving is over and now on to Christmas. What are we thankful for?
- A strong faith that helps us through the good and the bad
- A supportive family
- A very happy, healthy little boy that brings such joy to our lives
- A good pregnancy thus far with the technologies that can put my mind at ease
- Good jobs - that Brian's business is continuing to be off to a good start and that I have the job I do. In a time where many are being laid off - we are thanful to have what we have.

Happy Thanksgiving and looking forward to a Merry Christmas!
