Hello everyone! I'm 2 months old today! I know - I can't believe it either. So much has happened - Thanksgiving, Christmas, it's a New Year - WOW! I went to the doctor today and she said I am doing well. I'm gaining weight much better now that I'm drinking from a bottle. I get a little bit of formula - but mostly breastmilk - which I think is what is helping me fight off mommy and daddy's colds that they've had. Anyway - I'm now up to 9lbs 5oz - which is about the 7th percentile and I'm 22 inches long - which is the 25th percentile. I'm getting too long for a lot of my newborn sleepers. I think it's a kinda hard for my mommy to believe. I think she thought I was going to be in this size forever - I've been telling her she better get the next size clothes washed and ready for me b/c I will need them sooner than she thinks!
Guess what! At your 2 month dr appt they give you shots. Do you remember what that's like? It's not fun. I've never cried so hard - they really hurt. I've had a little bit of a rough afternoon since then, but I just had more Tylenol and am feeling a bit better now. Mommy hardly knows what to do with me when I cry a lot because I usually try to keep that to a minimum. Keep the Tylenol on hand and I think we will be OK.
What else am I up to? Well - I'm more alert now and don't sleep the entire day away. I also like to kick my legs and move my arms. I lay under my play mat and bat at the things hanging down over me...that's what I do for entertainment. And guess what else - when we do tummy time now - mommy and daddy are going to work with me on learning how to roll over. I guess that will be fun?
