Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Hello everyone -
I'm sorry I'm so late in wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Mommy & Daddy told me our Christmas would be busy - but WOW - now I know what they really meant. We started our first Christmas Party at Grandpa and Grandma Kok's house on the 21st; then on the 22nd headed up to Clintonville where I met my Great Grandpa and Grandma Meidam for the first time; later that afternoon we headed back to the Waupun area for Great Grandma Kok's Christmas party; on the 23rd we went to church with Grandpa and Grandma Meidam and had our Christmas party with them; the morning of the 24th Mommy, Daddy and I went back to Milwaukee. We unloaded our vehicle, Daddy finished his Christmas shopping (or should I say started - haha) and went to Christmas Eve service at our church. Wow - isn't the story of how Jesus was born in a stable really neat? Makes you really realize the true meaning of Christmas!
After Church, we went home and had our very first Meidam Family Christmas - with just us! Then of course there is Christmas Day - back to Waupun for Great Grandpa and Grandma Vande Zande's and Great Grandma Schmidt's Christmas Partys. WHEW! See what I mean? I had a great time and mommy and daddy said I was a very good little boy :) I got a lot of nice gifts from everyone - THANK YOU!!!! and am excited to play with all of my new toys sometime within the next year :)
THEN - we were home for the 26th and left on the 27th for "Up North". I didn't really know what that meant until now! We all went up to Grandpa and Grandma Meidam's house on Lake Nakomis in Tomohawk. My cousins were supposed to be there too, but they got sick and had to go home after the first day :( We stayed up there from the 27th through January 1. It is very relaxing up there (of course - when is my day not relaxing). Daddy went snowmobiling twice and Mommy even got to go one time. But after the third day - Daddy really started to feel crummy too - so no more snowmobiling for him!
On December 31, Mommy and Daddy put some white lights on the tree they planted for Briana last May. It's really pretty and will shine brightly for her every night at dusk. After all the lights were on, they bundled me up and we took our family picture with Briana's tree. I never got to meet her - but I have a feeling she must have been a pretty special girl and would have been a great big sister. Daddy and I got a Christmas present from Briana and Mommy this year. It was a big bat and ball so Daddy can teach me how to play ball in the backyard - I can't wait!
Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had a Merry Christmas!
I love you!
Grant
