Alayna at 4 mos

Alayna had her 4 mo doctor visit on Monday. She did great! She weighed in at 13lbs .05 oz (I didn't even know they could go that far out considering it is not a digital scale). This puts her in the 40th percentile for weight. At 2 mos she was in the 50th - so she dropped slightly, but is still doing great. What surprises me is the fact that at 4 mos Grant weight 13lbs 5oz - I thought for sure Alayna was bigger than him.

She is 23.5 inches long. This only gets her to about the 20th percentile. The doctor thought this was strange because at birth her height was really low, then by month one she was 75th percentile, then by month 2 she was 50th and now in month 4 is 20th. She is not concerned becase her weight gain and everything else is on track, but seems a bit strange. I think the measuring nurses were a bit off at some point (especially on that 1 month visit). I know she is growing because I can't sit in our glider normal to feed her anymore or her head hits the arm rest. I have to sit somewhat sideways.

So - she is doing well. We go back at 6 months and from now until then we hope to see her rolling from back to front (she now does front to back), sit up on her own (now sitting with some support) and she will be starting baby food (CRAZY!).

Below is a picture of her shots...poor thing. She really did quite well - stopped crying shortly after the nurse left the room.
