Grant is 20 months old

On the 4th of July - I turned 20 months old! It was a much larger celebration than I ever would have expected for such a non-monumental birthday. There were fireworks and everything :) I thought it was just for lil' me, but found out I was sharing the day with the USA. What a great celebration!

What did I do this past weekend? Well - our family went to Grandma and Papa Meidam's at the Lake. It was a lot of fun. My cousins were there for half the weekend. I went on my first jet ski ride, we went to sand mountain, I played outside a lot. My favorite things to do - playing with Papa's broom and playing in a watering can of Grandma's that just keeps pouring water out of it. Who needs toys!

We also went to The Windmill for some ice cream a couple of times. I really like getting ice cream there. It is really good and they give you a TON of ice cream for just $1. What a steal! On my 20 month birthday I shared a cone with Daddy (and had some of Mommy's too), but on Sunday night when we went - I got to get my very own. It sure was yummy!

What am I up to at 20 months. Well - ALMOST 21 lbs. I am saying a ton of words and understanding a lot more as well. When Mommy tells me to go find my Crocs - I go to my shoe bin in my bedroom and find them. I can usually even get them on myself. It's great - I love helping with things. My favorite toys - broom (really -I'm obsessed with it), lawn mower, pound-pound (hammer). My favorite book is "DOG". I love jumping and splashing in puddles and being outside. I'm starting to show an interest in the potty, but mommy says nursing Alayna and potty training me at the same time is toooooo much. My favorite foods - fruit (I love watermelon, strawberries, bapes (grapes), mandarin oranges), M&Ms, ice cream, breakfast sausage & cooked carrots. I generally sleep from 8ish until b/w 6 & 7 am. I still go to bed (and nap) with my NUK and my blankies. Mommy and Daddy talk about getting rid of my NUKs, but the dentist said it is fine - hopefully they listen to them! I take one afternoon nap from 12/1 until 3/4. Mommy tries to get a lot done during this time, but it doesn't always work. I love seeing puppies and want to pet them all. And the worst thing EVER is getting my toenails cut (or so I think) and second worst is getting my fingernails cut. YUCK! If you want to cut my toenails I will warn you - I scream and squirm and really give you a run for your money. After about 5 minutes of that you will be happy to have gotten one toenail cut and then try again another day. On another note, I still only have 6 teeth - well 6.5. This 7th one is a stinker and won't poke through.
I'm a happy little boy. I make my parent's smile and laugh a lot (especially when I dance and run. My right arm really swings for both of these things.) and I am a great big brother to Alayna. When she gets a little bigger - I will teach her all of my great tricks!
